Going abroad to do research or to cooperate with international research partners is an important aspect of one’s academic qualifications. If you are planning such a trip, you should first investigate whether your funding agency, your institute or doctoral program could provide funding for such an endeavour. If you are not able to find financial support through these channels, there is another possible source of funding:

Graduate Academy Travel Grants

The Graduate Academy awards travel grants to doctoral candidates and postdocs four times a year. The maximum grant award is 1.500 €.
