HFSP Research Grants 2011

Submission deadline: March 31st, 2010

Compulsory pre-registration, via the web site: March 22nd, 2010

The Human Frontier Science Program’s (HFSP) Research grants are provided for teams of scientists from different countries who wish to combine their expertise to approach questions that could not be answered by individual laboratories. Emphasis is placed on novel, and international collaborations that bring together scientist from different disciplines to focus on problems in the life sciences. There are two types of Grant: Young Investigators’ Grants are for teams of scientists who are all within 5 years of establishing an independent laboratory and within 10 years of obtaining their PhDs. Program Grants are for independent scientists at all stages of their careers, although the participation of younger scientists is especially encouraged. The principal applicant of each research team must be from one of the eligible countries (i.e. Canada, Germany, US). However, other participating scientists and laboratories may be situated anywhere in the world. Please note that HFSP funding programs start at the postdoctoral level.
